Recipe

Ingredients: * Boiled potatoes: 2 medium (peeled and cut into small cubes) * Green peas: ½ cup (boiled) * Onion: 1 medium (finely chopped) * Garlic: 7-8 cloves * Ginger: ½ tsp (grated) * Green chillies: 2-3 (finely chopped) * Cumin seeds: 1 tsp * Oil: 2-3 Tbsp * Salt: to taste * Red chilli powder: ½ tsp * Coriander powder: 1tsp * Cumin powder: ½ tsp * Haldi: ½ tsp * Green Coriander: 1 Tbsp + 1 tsp (finely chopped)

Instructions:

  1. In a kadai, heat the oil and add cumin seeds.
  2. Once it crackles, add the ginger, garlic and green chillies.
  3. Saute for half a minute and add the onion.
  4. Once it turns light brown add the dry spices.
  5. Mix well and add the boiled Aloo.
  6. Fry till golden and add the peas and coriander.
  7. Mix well and saute for a minute or two.
  8. Serve hot garnished with coriander.

Cooking Tip: * Add the peas at the end to retain their color.

Architecture Tip

When you are polishing pure wooden doors, go in either for PU polish or for melamine polish. This will increase the life of the door's polish. Spirit polish has to be repeated often, whereas melamine or PU polish lasts a long time.
