Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Maida (all-purpose flour)
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Dahi (curd)
- 1/4 cup Oil
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- A pinch of Salt
- 2 Tbsp Cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla essence
Instructions:
- Preheat the OTG on bake mode to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease the baking dish with oil.
- In a bowl, add the sugar with the oil, vanilla essence, and curd.
- Mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Now mix the dry and wet ingredients. Add half the milk in batches, stirring well, to get a lump-free, pouring consistency batter.
- Pour half of this batter into another bowl. Add the cocoa powder and mix well. Adjust the consistency, adding milk.
- In the baking dish, pour 2 Tbsp of each mixture alternately. Finally, make a pattern with a toothpick, as shown in the video.
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, till done.
Architecture Tip
When we have counters or any wardrobe in your room or these kitchen slabs, underneath the floor level, we have to give a depression of sorts. This is called the toe space. Toe space is important because if you are standing and working, if it is totally flat, it is very uncomfortable.
